The stunning range of midi and mini dresses has reached cult status in no time, and anyone who’s anyone on Instagram has a Rixo piece in their wardrobe. So it’s fair to say that any time Rixo brings out new clothing, there’s chaos in the changing rooms. And at London Fashion Week, the brand debuted a whole new set of gorgeous dresses, in collaboration with Christian Lacroix. The pieces in the line are notably more ‘occasion-led,’ with formal dresses and two-piece skirt suits in elegant checkered prints. If there was one word we would describe this collection (and the presentation space it was first shown in), it would be ‘decadent’. Surprisingly, all of the new dresses are already available to buy online at Rixo’s website, despite only just being shown at fashion week. You may notice that the price points of these pieces is slightly higher than Rixo’s usual goods, presumably due to the fact they are created in collaboration with another designer. The dresses are selling for around the £400 mark, but if you don’t have that much cash to splash, there are other options. For example, there is a pretty pink and white blouse for £210, as well as the dogtooth jacket and skirt, which are £265 and £210 respectively. Or, if you really want a piece of the collab but can’t spend anywhere near that much, you can also get your hands on a lovely little hair scrunchie, which is in the same pink and white print as the midi dress and blouse in the collection and costs £24.
