Airing on Sky Max and NOW, the one-off TV special saw all our favourites reuniting to reminisce on the magical film franchise that changed all of their (and our) lives. If you’ve yet to catch it, we can promise it contains all the heart-warming nostalgic feels that are the perfect January antidote. Getty Images Of course, Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson (who played Harry, Ron and Hermione in all eight films) were all included, and we learned a number of fascinating insider titbits and behind-the-scenes trivia from their candid conversations. Particularly juicy was Emma Watson’s admission of the huge crush she had on Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy, while on set. ‘I walked into the room where we were having tutoring,’ Emma Watson started. ‘The assignment that had been given was to draw what you thought God looked like, and Tom had drawn a girl with a backward cap on a skateboard.’ Getty Images She continued: ‘And I just don’t know how to say it – I just fell in love with him. I used to come in every day and look for his number on the call sheet, it was number seven, and if his name was on the call sheet, it was an extra exciting day. He was three years above me and so for him he was like, “You’re like my little sister.”‘ When filming for the first film, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, started, Emma was 11 years old and Tom was 14, so the Draco actor says he always saw Emma more as a friend than a romantic interest. Getty Images ‘I think I was in the hair and make-up chair and someone said something along the lines of, “Yeah, she has a crush on you,”‘ Tom said. “I became very protective over her. Yeah, I’ve always had a soft spot for her and that continues to this day. There’s always been something that’s like, I don’t know, a kinship.” While candid about her schoolgirl crush, Emma – who is now dating business owner Leo Robinton – categorically stated in her reunion interview that nothing ever happened between the two of them, but that they will always share a special bond.
