And when it comes to summer, another of those items is the perfect white dress. Well, stand back because Alex Jones may have just found it. Debuting her gorgeous white dress on an episode of The One Show this week, the presenter also took to Instagram to let her followers know where the outfit is from – she clearly knew she was going to get a lot of people asking! It turns out it’s a River Island number and costs just £55. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Alex Jones (@alexjonesthomson) Alex’s shirt dress ticks a lot of boxes when it comes to nailing the perfect white dress for Spring/Summer 2020 – the midi length, short puff sleeves, button-down front and fabric tie belt all come together to create a winning combination. For those less inclined to buy white (hello coffees spills!) the dress also comes in black and yellow. And it looks like we weren’t the only ones loving Alex’s look – her Instagram post spawned many a positive comment such as: ‘Love a nice white dress, you look fab’, ‘You look beautiful Alex!’ and ‘you look AMAZING!’ We couldn’t agree more. River Island White Puff Sleeve Midi Shirt Dress, £55, River Island The One Show presenter teamed her perfect white dress with bright red heeled sandals, bringing just the right amount of colour to the look. We also think this would look great with matching white trainers and a black leather cross-body handbag for a more casual look, or strappy flat tan sandals and raffia tote for instant holiday vibes. It seems Alex has been loving River Island lately, as she recently also donned a pair of £42 mint-hued jeans from the British high street brand, which she teamed with a pink silk blouse from London brand Lisou for a totally on-trend sorbet-hued outfit.
