YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Food Aldi’ s pink gin is the tipple you need in your drinks cabinet this Christmas By You Magazine - December 3, 2019 There’s nothing that will get you into the festive spirit quite like… well, a great festive spirit, which is why the news that Aldi is launching its first ever own brand pink gin this December has well and truly made our day. Capitalising on the ever-growing trend for flavoured blends, the budget supermarket has announced the arrival of Greyson’s Premium Pink Gin, which comes in a vintage-inspired glass bottle that’s also great for gifting. Getty Images In addition to the obvious juniper, the drink also carries notes of fresh raspberry and strawberry, as well a subtle undercurrent of blackberry, so if you like your gins sweet and fruity, it should go straight to the top of your to-buy list. The most natural choice of mixer for pink gin is a tonic: we’d suggest going crisp and clean to let the flavours of the berries sing through, and garnish-wise, it doesn’t get more Christmassy than cranberries. In fact, with the blush hue of the tipple itself, it’s a combination that’s begging to be Instagrammed. However, if you want to get your hands on some, you should note that the new creation is available in stores only, so you’ll need to visit your local store to stock up. Greyson’s Premium Pink Gin, £12.99, Aldi Fizz more your thing? Don’t miss Aldi’s somewhat unwieldy but incredibly impressive methuselah of prosecco, a showstopping party piece that contains the equivalent of eight typical bottles in one giant container. Or, for an undeniably seasonal option that will please any crowds you’re entertaining this year, Aldi’s £9.99 Infusionist Fig, Honey & Cinnamon Rum Liqueur was also recently awarded a coveted ‘Masters’ medal at this year’s Spirits Business Liqueur Masters. That’s some seriously good stuff for the price. Now you just need your very own Primark bar cart to display your new collection, and you’ll be well on your way to hostess with the mostess success. Cheers!
