YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Celebrity Ryan Reynolds reveals how he shares parenting duties with Blake Lively By Georgia Green - May 12, 2022 With a wealth of help at their full disposal, it’s always intriguing to know how Hollywood A-listers approach parenting. Well, Ryan Reynolds just gave an insight into how he and wife Blake Lively share out the parenting duties in their household. The couple have three daughters together, seven-year-old James, five-year-old Inez and two-year-old Betty, which already sounds like a handful! And, from what Ryan says, it sounds like Blake taught him everything he knows – including how to cook. Getty Images Speaking to David Letterman in a trailer for the upcoming season of Netflix’s My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, Ryan confesses to the late night television host that ‘Blake, full disclosure, really showed me how to do all this.’ It appears as though Ryan is referring to cooking, as they are stood in a kitchen with bowls of ingredients out on the counter. ‘Blake runs the show,’ he added. ‘I would kind of really phone things in if it wasn’t for her.’ When David asked Ryan if anxiety would set in if he was left alone to look after his three daughters by himself, he first jokingly replied, ‘I would, first off, never let her go visit her family,’ before adding, ‘No, yeah, that is illegal. That’s kidnapping.’ Getty Images He then said that he ‘would find it pretty exciting at first,’ to be left in charge of them, before adding that the ‘division of labour’s very important’ when it comes to looking after three kids at once. To see the full episode and more of Ryan Reynolds’ revelations, you’ll have to wait until the series of My Next Guest Needs No Introduction premieres on Netflix on 20 May. Other episodes see David chat with Billie Eilish, Kevin Durant, Julia Louis Dreyfus, Will Smith and Cardi B.
