YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Beauty The C-List is a new beauty platform for people living with cancer By You Magazine - February 8, 2021 For anyone that’s been diagnosed with cancer, or had a friend or family member diagnosed, you will know how difficult it is to find “cancer-kinder” beauty products. This is why The C-List — a new beauty platform designed for those living with cancer — is such a brilliant, unrivalled idea. The site was set up by renowned makeup artist Lisa Potter Dixon and inspirational cancer campaigner Helen Addis, who herself has lived with cancer. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Lisa Potter-dixon (@lisapotterdixon) After being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018, Helen was told to change up her entire beauty routine, from makeup to skincare. She could no longer use many fragranced products, and had to stick to things far milder and gentle on the skin. Shopping for these products was a minefield, and hence, the idea for The C-List began to develop. The website is packed full of product recommendations, no matter what you’re looking for. It features mascaras for sensitive eyes, shower products for sore skin, and shampoos aimed at aiding hair thinning (along with quite literally everything in-between). Cancer campaigner Helen Addis (left) and makeup artist Lisa Potter Dixon (right). But that’s not all; as well as a huge product recommendation section (with click-through links to buy everything easily), The C-List is all about providing women going through cancer with tips and tricks, both with their beauty products and their overall journey. ‘Having the C Bomb dropped on you is hard enough… potentially losing your hair is an extra unwelcomed twist and THEN being told your beauty regime is semi out the window really makes the diagnosis a fun sponge,’ the pair write on their website. ‘Most of us want to feel and look as normal as possible but how easy is it to find those more gentle products which still give us results? This is exactly why we created The C List. It’s a one-stop shop to all things beauty when it comes to being on cancer treatment.’ What’s more, 100% of the profits created from the affiliate click-through links on each product will go towards gifting a C-List user with a treat (be it a beauty gift or a day out somewhere) each month, which is truly amazing in itself.
