Rex Features Kelly, who works as a personal assistant, is a dear friend of Gareth’s. In fact, the former Pop Idol contestant turned Coronation Street actor is very close to the Willoughby family in general, but is said to have a particularly close bond to Kelly, who was his PA for six years. He and Kelly have remained friends ever since and at their engagement party, Gareth and his fiancee asked Kelly to marry them. That’s right, Holly’s sister will help her friend and his future wife exchange vows at the altar. Rex Features ‘We asked her if she would get ordained and marry us, and she said yes!’ Faye revealed in an interview with OK! magazine, while Gareth added: ‘We called her Reverend Willoughby for the rest of the night.’ He then explained that he considers Kelly one of his best friends, which is why he asked her to do the honours and as the good mate she is, she agreed. ‘Kelly has been through everything with us,’ Faye added. ‘She’s been a mother hen, a rock, a sister, a best friend.’ Rex Features She continued: ‘We know her sister Holly too but she’s a very busy woman so we knew she wouldn’t be able to make it to the party.’ Perhaps Holly will make it to the big day instead, given her sister’s role in the wedding. At the engagement party, Gareth treated guests to a performance of his 17-minute long proposal song, which he has written and originally sang as he got down on one knee to ask Faye to be his wife during a romantic trip to New York.
