YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Celebrity Sarah Jessica Parker just cleared up this longstanding Sex & the City mystery By You Magazine - June 27, 2019 Sex & The City fans, rejoice – one of the most burning questions from the series has finally been answered. If, like us, you still very much care to know why Carrie Bradshaw was wearing those mismatched Christian Louboutins in episode 13 of season three, then listen up because all has been revealed – at last. Rex Features Avid viewers will remember that Carrie wore a white floral dress, paired with a metallic red high-heeled sandal on her right foot and a teal one on her left in the memorable, leaving everyone to wonder whether it was a genuine wardrobe mishap or a bizarre intentional fashion statement. Well now, Sarah Jessica Parker, who played the stylish protagonist in the much-adored HBO series, has taken to Instagram to explain after popular Sex & The City fan account, @everyoutfitonsatc opened up the age-old debate to their 586k followers. ‘THE MYSTERY OF THE MISMATCHED LOUBS ? Did Carrie buy these mismatched sandals straight off the rack? Or did she purchase two separate pairs and mix them together herself? Are they a metaphor for her inability to choose between Aidan and Big? Unfortunately, we have no answers,’ read the post. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Every Outfit on Sex & the City (@everyoutfitonsatc) SJP then surprisingly chimmed in to confirm what actually happened, saying: ‘Here is the official answer and I’m sure approved by the great and legendary @patriciafield,’ the actor wrote in a post tagging the programme’s revered costume designer. ‘We had two pairs of what I believe are @louboutinworld scrappy sandals. Pat and I chose to do one of each. Perhaps because both were so delicious in colour and seemed in harmony with the dress but also because we simply loved doing one of each. Sending my best. And hope this is a satisfactory answer. Xxx [sic]’ So, there you have it. They simply couldn’t chose – and when in doubt, we guess you go for both?
