YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Life You can now give your John Lewis returns to your Waitrose delivery driver By You Magazine - June 20, 2019 While we love shopping – both online and in-store – we’re sure you’ll agree that one aspect that can totally bring down the joy of a successful spree is the process of making returns. Whether you’ve got the wrong size or simply changed your mind about your purchase, we all have items to return every now and then. And let’s face it, it’s not the most exciting experience. In fact, it can be quite inconvenient. Hurrah! The two high street stores are, of course, owned by the same company, hence the imitative. However, this will make life a lot easier for shoppers as you can now hand your unwanted online John Lewis purchases to your Waitrose delivery driver whilst receiving your groceries instead of having to do it directly yourself – talk about killing two birds with one stone. The company announced the news on their PR Instagram account, writing: ‘John Lewis & Partners customers can now return their online purchases to Waitrose delivery drivers at the same time as receiving their groceries!’ John Lewis Ged Keogh-Peters, director supply chain strategy for the John Lewis Partnership, also said in a statement: ‘Following the success of the trial we are pleased to be extending this service to even more customers. We are excited to be at the forefront of new services to make online shopping as convenient and quick as possible.’ The new service was trialled in 21 shops last year before being rolled out across the company. And what’s more? There is no extra charge for using the service. Plus, regular customers will know that Waitrose offers free delivery for orders over £60, so it could end up not cost you a thing. We don’t know about you, but we will certainly be taking advantage of this. All we need now is for the rest of the UK high street to follow suit.
