However, the brand’s latest collaboration is a little more unexpected: the British Museum. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Warehouse (@warehouseuk) The high street brand has teamed up with the British institution to bring us what a collection inspired by the work of British artist Mary Delaney – and it might just be one of its most desirable collections yet. Warehouse Gathered Midi Dress, £39.20 (was £49), Warehosue Mary started producing her unique collages that imitate flowers at the age of 72 in the late 18th century. As one of the first collage artists she was a pioneer, using tiny pieces of coloured paper to create botanically accurate depictions of flowers from around the world – this Warehouse x British Museum collection celebrates everything she achieved in the final decades of her life. Warehouse Embroidered Blouse, £63.20 (was £79), Warehouse The pieces in the collection are covered in bright floral pops set against a black background, just as Marry’s work was, resulting in a rich and moody palette perfect for autumn. Warehouse Floral Jumper, £55.20 (was £69), Warehouse Delaney’s signature style has been reimagined as mini, midi and maxi dresses, sheer blouses, knitwear, outerwear and more. The collection has been split into two drops: the first is available to shop from today and the rest will follow on Friday 22 October. Standout pieces in the first drop include an embroidered blouse with oversized collar, a floaty high neck mini dress where Mary’s work has been reimagined with a geometric quality and a statement long-sleeve, open-back midi dress with embroidery that looks like an entanglement of wildflowers.
