YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Beauty If you like This Works pillow spray you’ ll love their new daytime spritz By You Magazine - February 1, 2021 This Work’s range of pillow sprays are the stuff of beauty legend – and for jolly good reason. The bestselling Deep Sleep Pillow Spray has been our go-to for years to soothe pre-bedtime anxiety and to ensure a good night’s sleep. Then there’s newer iterations of the formula, including a version designed for shorter naps, a baby-friendly option and even one to encourage intimacy in the sheets prior to those ever-important zzzz’s. But while these excellent sleep-inducing sprays are perfect for night, we’ve long awaited a version that we can use to soothe our stressed-out minds in the day. Luckily, This Works has finally answered our prays — and to be honest, it couldn’t have come at a better time. The past year has been one of the most stressful many of us have faced, with 2021 looking set to be another unsettled year too. This Works has stepped in and introduced their latest spray, named Stress Check Mood Manager. As its name suggests, it uses aromatherapy to manage our stress levels, making it perfect for these uncertain times. This Works The little bottle features a powerful blend of essential oils, including Ylang Ylang, Neroli and Patchouli, and is also 99% natural, cruelty free, and vegan. But it doesn’t just smell amazing; it’s actually been proven to reduce stress levels. In fact, MRI brain imaging research found that the aromatherapy oils within this formula help to curb stress responses and trigger the area of the brain associated with reward. Stress Check Mood Manager, £15, This Works ‘Studies have shown that essential oils are absorbed by smell receptors in your nose that are linked to the limbic system – the part of the brain controlling our emotional responses,’ explained Dr Anna Persaud, a biochemist and CEO of This Works. ‘This, in turn, impacts heart rate, blood pressure and the nervous system.’The spray can be used on anything, from clothing to cushions, as well as just directly into the air around your space as a room spray. It costs £15, and is out now.
