From busy car parks to queues at security and chockablock check-in desks, visiting an airport can be a pretty stressful experience. But according to new research from customer satisfaction service HappyOrNot and discount travel website HolidayPirates, reducing pre-flight pressure could be as simple as switching the day you fly. Getty Images As reported by The Mirror, the brands took into account 52,000,000 data reports from the smiley face feedback points you’ve probably seen in terminals across the country, and found that most visitors (76.7 per cent) felt happiest at every point of their journey when completing it on a Wednesday. And that’s not all – setting an early morning alarm could help soothe your airport woes even further, as the most positive reactions were also given around 7am. At the opposite end of the spectrum, the worst times to fly were late nights, particularly on Saturdays, which were shown to be the least happy day of the week (likely because of the peak nature of weekend travel).
