YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Fashion Kate’ s floral Michael Kors dress is less expensive than you might think By You Magazine - September 5, 2019 This morning was a big moment for the Cambridge family, as Prince William and Kate’s only daughter Princess Charlotte attended her very first day of school at Thomas’s Battersea. And there was one major difference from her big brother Prince George’s first day, as both her dad and her mum dropped her off with her new teacher. When George joined the reception class at Thomas’s back in September 2017, Kate was pregnant with Prince Louis and suffering with hyperemesis gravidarum, acute morning sickness which meant she wasn’t well enough to attend. Getty Images It’s therefore no wonder that the Duchess of Cambridge looked thrilled to be able to accompany her second-born this time around – and what an outfit she chose to mark the occasion. Kate turned to a flattering floral favourite from Michael Kors for the photocall – a piece that might look a little familiar, as she also wore it to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding rehearsal in May 2018. As it’s previous season, and has the Middleton seal of approval, you’ve probably already predicted that the dress is totally sold out. But what you might not have guessed is that, although it does come with a designer price tag, it’s not quite as expensive as you’d expect, at £215. Michael Kors Floral-Print Belted Midi Shirt Dress, £215, Farfetch Obviously this is still an investment buy, but it is comparable to frocks from cult brands like Ghost, Rixo and Kitri, rather than the pricier £500+ picks that Kate and Meghan are sometimes seen in. And while we may have missed out on Kate’s original, the style has been reinvented in an equally gorgeous incarnation for A/W 19. On Net-A-Porter, you’ll find the same belted shirt dress silhouette in a richer red print, and crucially, for the same cost. The only difference seems to be the addition of a wider bell sleeve, which we’re definitely not mad about. Belted Printed Georgette Midi Dress, £215, Net-A-Porter To get the complete Kate look, finish your outfit with a pair of comfortable flat black pumps, simple hoops earrings and the world’s best blow-dry. Oh, and a couple of adorable school kids and a prince of a husband, if you can manage it. Well, a girl can dream… RELATED ARTICLESMORE FROM AUTHOR Rochelle Humes has launched a gorgeous new edit with Next Shop the YOU Magazine Instagram YOU picks the best new-in buys from M& S Popular in Fashion Laura Jackson has teamed up with Next for the chicest knitwear January 22, 2020 Holly Willoughby’ s birthday dress is another Zara bargain February 10, 2020 The Instagram-famous & Other Stories wool blazer is back in stock August 31, 2022 Lorraine just wore Emma Willis’ Next collection from head to toe March 17, 2020 The prettiest spring dresses under £100 March 1, 2022 Everyone is buying Holly’ s gorgeous gingham Oasis dress May 14, 2020 13 bargain dresses to buy in ASOS’ s extra 20 per cent June 10, 2020 This £20 H& M dress is set to be the social media June 26, 2020 Stacey Solomon x Primark is back for a third collection with July 20, 2020 Searches for this perfect heatwave summer top style are up 5000% August 10, 2020 Popular CategoriesFood2704Life2496Fashion2240Beauty1738Celebrity1261Interiors684 Sign up for YOUMail Thanks for subscribing Please check your email to confirm (If you don't see the email, check the spam box) Fashion Beauty Celebrity Life Food Privacy & Cookies T&C Copyright 2022 - YOU Magazine.
