Laura shared the idea for simple treat on the popular Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook page, which has more than a million members, and it’s since had hundreds of likes and comments from commenters who can’t believe how quick, easy and crucially, delicious it looks. Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK/Laura Middleton You only need six ingredients for Laura’s recipe, which is along the lines of a traditional fridge cake or tiffin – digestive biscuits, butter, golden syrup, white chocolate, chocolate buttons and of course, Maltesers. And once they’re assembled, it takes just a matter of minutes to put it all together – in fact, as long as you supervise the melting, it’s completely child-friendly too. Laura even shared helpful step-by-step pictures so you can check your method at each stage. Mixing bowls at the ready – we bet you can’t stop at just one slice! No-bake Maltesers cake recipe 225g (8oz) digestive biscuits 225g (8oz) Maltesers 115g (4oz) of butter 3 tbsp golden syrup 2 big bars of white chocolate Chocolate buttons 1. Crush up the digestive biscuits and Maltesers in a bowl. Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK/Laura Middleton 2. Melt the butter and golden syrup and add to the bowl. Mix well.
