Now, almost a month later, the Spice Girl-turned-designer has opened up about how it felt to see Meghan in clothes from her line. During an appearance on US show Live With Kelly and Ryan on Monday, Victoria said: ‘She looked so beautiful. It was such a lovely surprise to wake up to on Christmas morning. I think that she’s such a beautiful, strong, wonderful woman, so it was a huge honour.’ Initially, Meghan’s choice of designer left us all a little bit confused, as she had previously said that despite being a friend and fan of Victoria Beckham, she’d never wear one of her designs. Getty Images Meghan, who wore a calf-length navy dress with matching overcoat, boots and a chic handbag – all of which were by the British designer – has explained in the past that the reason she doesn’t like wearing the brand is because she doesn’t feel like the clothes suits her. So what has changed? Well for starters, at the time of the statement, Meghan was still starring in hit TV show Suits – so it was a long time ago. Discussing her personal style with GLAMOUR, she said: ‘Now what I’m starting to learn is, even though things look amazing on the hanger, it doesn’t mean they’re going to look amazing on me. For example, I love Victoria Beckham dresses, but I don’t have the long torso to support that silhouette.’ Getty Images The 37-year-old mum-to-be also added that she prefers tonal clothes and revealed how her style had evolved from the LA laid back casual style into outfits such as shift dresses and jeans with a blazer. But it’s safe to say all of that has changed since she has joined the royal family, so it’s no wonder she’s had a change of heart about VB’s clothing too. In fact, Meghan’s style has gone through a complete evolution in the past year.
