A Portuguese vineyard has just made all of your dreams come true with their genius accommodation offerings and you’re going to want to book a trip immediately. Quinta Da Pacheca Quinta Da Pacheca, situated in the valleys of the Douro River in Lamego, Portugal, is home to giant wine barrels for guests to sleep inside. Created as mini hotel suites, the pine wood barrels are have been designed by the owners of the vineyard, Paulo Pereira and Maria do Céu Gonçalves, and are simply giant versions of the wine barrels they use to make their own wine. And while you will no doubt be impressed by the exterior, just wait until you see the inside. And of course, they all come with WiFi too. Could it be any more dreamy? Paulo and Maria’s 140-acre estate has 15 wine-making rooms and also houses a lovely restaurants for guests to enjoy. ‘Quinta Da Pacheca created the wine barrels, bold architectural projects of suites in the form of wine barrels, reinforcing with originality the enotouristic offer,’ reads the website. ‘In an idyllic and romantic setting, Wine Barrels will provide you a unique experience of contact with nature and the monumental reality of the Douro Wine Region. Because let’s face it, this has couples’ trip written all over it. As you can except, the accommodation isn’t exactly cheap. One night in the wine barrels including breakfast will cost you around €208.86 (£185) while being priced at €193.86 (£172) without breakfast, depending on the season. However, considering the unique experience it promises, it isn’t too much of a price to pay.
