The star just stepped out in a fabulously festive skirt from Zara, and it’s just the touch of sparkle your wardrobe’s been crying out for. Holly and her stylist Angie Smith chose the pleated metallic midi for Thursday’s edition of This Morning, coupled with a cashmere crew neck jumper from Jigsaw (which, FYI, is on offer right now). View this post on Instagram A post shared by Holly Willoughby (@hollywilloughby) The look was, as always, a hit with viewers, who took to social media in their droves to compliment the combination. ‘Gorgeous, I love that skirt,’ wrote one, while another agreed: ‘Love the pleated skirt Holly you look absolutely beautiful.’ Others even tagged friends they thought would look good in the number, suggesting it for everything from festive work celebrations to New Year’s Eve. However, the beauty of the skirt lies in its versatility – after all, in Holly’s own words, bit of weekday sparkle, why not?’ Use a casual sweater or trainers to dress it down for daytime and then switch to heels and add statement jewellery when it’s time to go all out. The chevron skirt is still available on the Zara website in sizes XS to XL, although from previous examples, we’d imagine it’s only a matter of time before the Willoughby effect hits. Cloud Cashmere Crew Neck Jumper, £88 (was £98), Jigsaw Pleated Metallic Thread Skirt, £49.99, Zara Holly credits Angie, who she’s been working with for the last few years, for helping her to get out of her comfort zone and mix up her previous style, but is also adamant that ‘Styling and clothing only take you so far.’ ‘It’s the smoke and mirrors,’ she told GLAMOUR previously. ‘Everything needs to be in place beneath that. You’ve got to have good people around you, you’ve got to feel good about yourself.’ Amen to that!
