YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Celebrity This is who the Duchess of York wants to play her in The Crown By You Magazine - November 18, 2019 After years of waiting, Netflix finally blessed us with the third season of its beloved royal drama, The Crown, this weekend and naturally, it has been a talking point among us all ever since. Getty Images We won’t give away any spoilers but it’s safe to say that fans are loving the new cast members lead by Oscar winner Olivia Coleman as the new Queen Elizabeth II and Helena Bonham Carter as the slightly more grown Princess Margaret. Not to mention all the other new additions and of course, the many plots that unravel in the ten new episodes. In fact, it turns out the show has proven to be such a hit that even actual members of the royal family are avid watchers. Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson recently revealed that not only is she a big fan but she wants to be a character on the show and she has the perfect actress in mind to do the honors. Duchess Sarah, who is the ex wife of Prince Andrew, apparently wants Poldark actress Eleanor Tomlinson to play her in the next season of the drama based on the lives of the royal family. Getty Images According to The Sun, a source close to the royal said: ‘Sarah has really enjoyed the series — even if it hasn’t gone down well with all members of the royal family. She’s told several people close to her she really loves the idea of Eleanor after watching Poldark. In later life, she’s keen on Julianne Moore. ‘These days something as big as The Crown actually matters — for a whole new generation that’s how they will know who the Duchess actually is.’ Well, if Eleanor (or Julianne) do come on board for the fourth season of The Crown, they’ll be in very good company as the show’s creators have already announced that Gillian Anderson will join the Netflix series as Margaret Thatcher in the next season, while last year Emma Corrin was confirmed to be joining the cast as Princess Diana.
