And what better way to celebrate than with a delicious glass of Baileys? While for some diehard fans it’s a year-round beverage, most of us associate the Irish cream with all things festive, and it’s a staple on our bar carts when we’re hosting guests throughout party season. The adorable shells make the perfect containers for the tipple – especially when topped with a squirt of whipped cream, sprinkles and a couple of eco-friendly paper straws. The cups, made by premium chocolatiers Lir, first made their debut at the Baileys Treat Bar pop-up during Somerset House’s SKATE sessions last year. However, they proved so popular that they’re set to be available across the nation through supermarket chain Asda. Baileys The Original Irish Cream, £12, Asda ‘The outpouring of consumers demanding the recipe of the cheeky chocolate reindeer we featured last year was undeniable,’ Anne Nosko, Baileys Europe Marketing Director at DIAGEO, said of the offer. ‘This year, we wanted to make sure the reindeer were available for anyone who wanted a new way to enjoy the classic taste of Baileys, with a delicious twist.’ ‘There are so many Christmas traditions in this country, from food and drink, to TV shows and advertisements – we think the Baileys chocolate reindeer will find its way into the hearts, or at least onto the drinks trays, of Brits’ Christmases this year.’ Baileys Asda is giving away one chocolate reindeer cup with every bottle of Baileys you buy until 4th December, while stocks last, so if you’re planning on picking one up, now is the time. If you do miss out, the Baileys chocolate reindeers also back at Somerset House’s treat bar for 2019, alongside delights like a limited-edition Baileys Salted Caramel coffee cocktail and free sandwich cookies from master chocolatier Paul A Young. If there’s a better way to drink Baileys in London, we haven’t found it yet.
