Now, Mango has stepped up to the ‘affordable dupe’ plate too with its own pair of lookalike leather strap sandals. At just £35.99, Mango’s leather strap sandals are not only less than half the price of Dune’s Loupe sandals at £85 but a mere fraction of the price of the iconic Hermes Oran sandal at an eyewatering £510. What makes the Hermes Oran sandal so iconic though? The signature ‘H’ cut-out, of course, that is a Hermes signature silhouette and comes in over 40 different colours and fabrics for you to choose from. Oran sandal, £510, Hermes Though the Mango pair doesn’t feature the distinct Hermes ‘H’ cut out, the shape of the two leather straps aren’t far off at all and very closely resemble the designer pair. Leather strap sandals, £35.99, Mango Made from 100% bovine leather, Mango’s lookalike sandals also feature backstitched detail and a square toe, just like the Hermes Oran sandal. While the Hermes Oran sandal is available in no less than a whopping 49 colours and materials, the Mango leather strap sandals are available in just black or brown leather. At that purse-friendly price, however, we’ll happily buy both. Not sold? May we suggest the mid-range Dune Loupe sandals that also come in 12 colours. If this style is all a little delicate for your liking, however, everyone’s favourite Dune Lockstock sandal is back for 2021 with even more colourways and feature thick straps, a solid sole and leather quilting for comfort.
