Currently trending number one on Amazon’s beauty bestsellers list, the shine of this cult product never seems to dull. It’s not new, but it is long-sustaining, and as winter rolls around, its popularity is already soaring given its gentle approach to cleansing. And gentle is exactly what our skin needs given that the changing temperatures, weather and ramping up of heating can be rather jarring for our skin’s barrier. It’s a time of year when gentle skincare is key, and adding harsh skincare products into the mix can do more damage than good. Developed with dermatologists, the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser is a gentle non-foaming lotion that effectively cleanses the face, and joyfully, our entire body (we love a product that does it all!). The popular formula is enriched with no less than three Essential Ceramides and Hyaluronic Acid, which together help hydrate and protect the skin’s natural barrier, leaving even the most sensitive skin soft and thoroughly cleansed. It’s non-foaming, it isn’t sticky and it’s hypoallergenic and fragrance-free. Pretty clever stuff, eh? And all for just £7.50. Unsurprisingly, shoppers have been quick to praise the product via Amazon reviews, lavishing praise on the potent little cleanser (although not that little, as many point out that it lasts ‘forever’). ‘I have been using it for the past 2+ yrs and absolutely love it. It’s a great morning cleanser/second step cleanser. Doesn’t strip my skin dry. Yes, it does feel like lotion and it will not alone take off your makeup (you need to double cleanse for that) but excellent for barrier repair and overall good health of dry sensitive skin,’ reads one review. Another adds: ‘This is one of the few products I can say WORKS!!! After washing my face with any product I often find after my skin dries if I haven’t put moisturiser or serum on quick enough my skin will visibly become dry and ashy and I can feel it drying out and becoming stiff. However with this after the first use I noticed that the window of where my skin would dry out is reduced or doesn’t dry out at all – it’s like the product acts as some sort of invisible force field.’ High praise for a cleanser.
