YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Travel The top 3 UK staycation destinations for 2019 have been revealed By You Magazine - March 7, 2019 With the Easter break just around the corner, it’s only natural that we’re dreaming of our next holiday. However, if you feel like you may have left it too late to get the best deals for a trip abroad, fear not. New research has revealed that British holidaymakers are instead planning staycations in three surprisingly in-demand UK destinations this year. According to holiday booking site, Cottage.com, there have been an increasing interest in bookings for a particular Scottish island, a foodie town in the East Midlands and a traditional Cornish village. Here are the top three staycation spots in the UK for this year… 1 The Isle of Arran Getty Images This Scottish island is already outperforming bookings for the rest of the UK, according to Cottage.com. The beautiful location is remote enough for you to enjoy a lovely escape from your mundane reality and has endless adventures on offer. However, there are only 100 holiday homes on the island so you’ll have to get a move on if you’re planning a trip. 2 Lincolnshire Getty Images Experience true English culture in the heart of the East Midlands by booking a trip to Lincolnshire. The destination is known and loved for being a culinary hub, with a number of the town’s restaurants featuring in the 2019 Michelin Guide. Lincolnshire is also an excellent staycation spot for luxury travel lovers according to Cottage.com, as 93% of the properties there hold a Grade Four or Five Status. Swanky. 3 St Ives Getty Images Many will agree that Cornwall is one of the best, if not the best, holiday destination in the UK. So, it’s no wonder that the stunning village of St. Ives has made the list. Last year, almost the entire population swamped the town during our extensive summer heatwave and Cottage.com predicts that the same will happen in the summer of 2019. St. Ives is knownas a surfing district thanks to Porthmeor beach as well as boasting an impressive British art scene, not to mention its picture perfect cobbled streets and coastal paths.
