The presenter, who rose to fame in the nineties and has enjoyed a broadcasting career spanning across 20 years, will be hosting the new, very appropriately named programme, The Sara Cox Show. Airing on ITV every Saturday and Sunday, it has been described as ‘a weekly fix of entertainment, live music and culture.’ Getty Images Announcing the news via Twitter, Cox – who recently released a book and replaced Simon Mayo and Jo Whiley’s Drivetime spot on Radio 2 back in January – described her new gig as a ‘dream job’, tweeting: ‘What a year! How many dream jobs can one woman get? Radio2, the book, tv matchmaker & time traveller and now this ?? All I need now is crisp taster & cowgirl and my life’s complete… can’t wait to bring fun & music to your weekends ??’ The show will air later this year but no official release date has been confirmed as of yet.
