All her wild colouring whims were pandered to in her teenage years, but she never went for a drastic chop. Since moving to London in her early 20s, she’s stuck with the same trim on home visits to her sister. Finally ready for a hair makeover, she wanted a professional to tell her what would work for her face. Enter celebrity hairstylist George Northwood, who thought Joanne would suit the classic box bob, but left slightly longer at the front for a more modern feel. He suggested using his Volume Spray or Wave Holding Spray (£15 each) before rough drying, and tonging random sections for a bit of movement (tongs, £65).
