YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Life The clever ways to make use of leftover Gü pots By Kanika Banwait - April 6, 2022 We love a Gü pudding as much as the next person – they’re ideal when you want something sweet but small (those glass ramekins helpfully stop you from ‘accidentally’ eating a whole cheesecake yourself). But, let’s be honest, how many times have you kept the Gü pots after eating their contents and promised yourself you’ll do something useful with them, then never quite got round to it? Alamy As handy as they seem, they usually end up sitting in the back of the kitchen cupboard, waiting to be put to use. Evidently, this is a common problem, as Twitter has come to the rescue of Gü ramekin hoarders. A Twitter user asked the internet for tips on what to do with the leftover pots, and the helpful responses flooded in. fellow gü cheesecake enthusiasts – what do you do with the little glass containers after you finish? bc it’s giving “the nigerian urge to hoard”. - yoruba angel. What about for serving snacks? Several responses suggested proffering up things like nuts, dips and sauces, as well as storing loose change, safety pins, cotton pads and jewellery in the pots. Other handy tips included using the Gü containers for what they were originally intended for, by making your own desserts in them. They are also easily transported if you’re taking the dessert to someone else’s house. Creative takes on the leftover glass containers include creating candles in them, or placing tea lights in them to save spending money on holders. They could also be used as ‘paint pots for kids’ and ash trays.
