YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Celebrity Sienna Miller has opened up on life in her forties By Georgia Green - April 6, 2022 With a highly anticipated Netflix series, Anatomy of a Scandal, due to land on screens this month, Sienna Miller has been opening up on what life is like for her now in her forties. Getty Images Having suffered in the spotlight of peak paparazzi glare in the noughties, Sienna is notoriously private about her personal life these days – there’s just one picture on her Instagram page from 2017. However, speaking to Elle UK, Sienna Miller, who turned 40 in December last year, shared that her life is ‘really banal at the moment… [but] I like the tranquility of it.’ Getty Images Seemingly relieved to have left not just her twenties behind but her thirties, too, Sienna admitted that she felt, ‘pressure… [about] kids, and should I have more, and why haven’t I, and all of that, which is a really loud noise. Biology is incredibly cruel on women in that decade – that’s the headline, or it certainly was for me. Then I got to 40 and I froze some eggs. Having been really focused on the need to have another baby, I’m just like, if it happens, it happens. That kind of existential threat has dissipated.’ Anatomy of a Scandal. Image: Ana Cristina Blumenkron/Netflix She shared a glimpse at her ‘banal’ daily routine, which involves getting up at 6:20am to wake up her nine-year-old daughter Marlowe to have breakfast together, before dropping her at school bus and taking the dogs for a walk in the park. Then her day consists of ‘reading scripts, developing her skincare line, reading books for future projects,’ reported Elle. ‘I like the tranquillity of it,’ she confirmed. ‘There’s just much less anxiety, for no specific reason, other than maybe turning 40 and surrendering to being on some sort of life journey that is completely irrelevant. I think I know what matters to me: my friendships, my child and, ultimately, trying to be happy. That really is enough, with bursts of intensity and creativity. And, you know, way too much fun still at times, but I feel more in control of my life. And that’s really, really relieving.’ RELATED ARTICLESMORE FROM AUTHOR 50 of the best celebrity Halloween costumes of all time Shirley Ballas ‘ Strictly gave me back my hope’ Davina McCall discusses how men can help women going through the menopause Popular in Celebrity TV chef Gino D Acampo on Sardinia Sophia Loren and scary salads May 25, 2017 The Evergreen Goddess Exercise guru Diana Moran on looking fit and July 10, 2017 More more Julianne Moore November 13, 2017 Author Jill Mansell on designer notebooks commissioning art and the family January 16, 2018 EMOTIONAL TIES Kelly Hoppen on vodka vintage finds and being a April 4, 2018 ‘ I have no regrets’ Millie Mackintosh on divorce debt and reuniting May 20, 2018 EMOTIONAL TIES TV presenter and tennis player Annabel Croft shares her July 1, 2018 Stella Parton ‘ Dolly and I have always been close’ August 12, 2018 Anna Friel on getting jeered in the street shared parenting with September 23, 2018 Queen of primetime Charlotte Riley on juggling rising stardom with pregnancy October 21, 2018 Popular CategoriesFood2704Life2496Fashion2240Beauty1738Celebrity1261Interiors684 Sign up for YOUMail Thanks for subscribing Please check your email to confirm (If you don't see the email, check the spam box) Fashion Beauty Celebrity Life Food Privacy & Cookies T&C Copyright 2022 - YOU Magazine.
