YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Food Rum-infused white wine is coming to a supermarket near you By You Magazine - June 12, 2019 It may not feel like it thanks to the slightly dreary weather, but summer is here and along with it comes the perfect excuse to try a new drink. Whether you’ve filled your weekends with various festivals or you’ll be spending them at beer gardens and BBQs with your friends, it’s safe to say you’ll most likely be indulging in a tipple or two. So, what is the drink of choice this summer? Getty Images Forget the frosés and Aperol Spritz and say hello to the new drink of the summer, Echo Falls’ White Wine and Rum Fusion. That’s right, white wine rum is now a thing and while it may sound slightly lethal (don’t worry, it isn’t), it’s also very delicious. The new wine fusion contains 9 percent ABV and the blend is priced at just £6 per bottle. Made with natural coconut and pineapple flavours, it mixes crisp white wine with a touch of rum, and also has a hint of pineapple for sweetness and fresh coconut aromas, creating complementary tropical tasting notes. If that doesn’t sound like the taste of summer, we don’t know what does! Echo Falls The launch comes shortly after the release of the brand’s successful rosé wine and gin fusion earlier this year, and both bottles are available now at selected supermarkets and stores. However, if you’re more of a cocktail lover you’ll be pleased to hear that the classic Aperol Spritz has also been given a revamp this summer in the form of the trendy new French Spritz. The sophisticated name itself already has us sold, but just wait until you hear what the fashionable new drink is made with. The key components are elderflower-flavoured St Germain, champagne or another dry sparkling wine, sparkling water and of course, the all-important garnish, which in this case is a lemon twist. Yum!
