YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Fashion M& S has new magic shaping jeans that shoppers think are ‘ perfect’ By You Magazine - July 6, 2021 Most of us have spent the majority of the various national lockdowns in the ‘cosier’ section of our wardrobes, meaning comfy trackies, leggings and pyjama bottoms have all been mainstays of our housebound lockdown looks. Jeans have barely had a look in, relegated to the back of the wardrobe, but now that Covid restrictions are set to lift on 19 July, it’s time to pull the denim back on. With comfort having been a key aspect of our outfits for months, pulling a pair of jeans on can be a daunting prospect, which is why we’re looking to one pair in particular. The now-famous M&S magic shaping jeans have been hailed by many as the ‘best jeans ever’. We know that tracking down the best jeans on the high street is no mean feat: but judging by the comments made by Marks & Spencer customers who’ve tried the magic shaping jeans, we might just have stumbled across them. M&S revealed the new design back in February 2020, on its official Instagram account, declaring ‘your new favourite jeans have arrived’. And although they look like a standard pair on the model, this is some seriously hardworking denim; the high-waisted style promises to give you the silhouette you’ve always wanted, thanks to some pretty clever technology. Plus, they’ve added hidden front pocket technology that flatters the tummy. The sizes are also pretty inclusive compared to many of the store’s high street competitors. It runs from a 6 to a 24 with a choice of three different leg lengths – short, regular and long are listed, although the long version has less options, with sizing from an 8 to a 20. Meanwhile, the other ‘magic’ cuts you know and love are still there, including the straight leg (with a wider variety of colours, coming in indigo, light indigo, black and white) and the skinny, which comes in medium indigo, indigo mix or black. So whatever colour you prefer, there are plenty of shades and styles to choose from. Now, we know that ‘magic’ may be a bold claim, but those who’ve already tried them say the jeans really do live up to their reputation. ‘Bought these jeans in the slim fit, I have slim legs & they are perfect, so I ordered more. I have already recommended them & my friend bought them in the regular fit,’ one customer wrote. Another said: ‘These look amazing on – super flattering. They fit perfectly, except for the length. I’m 5’9 and usually wear 10L but even the regular length is a bit too long. I bought a 10R and wear them turned up.’ ‘This is probably the most I have ever paid for jeans but they fit well and look good,’ a customer wrote in their review. ‘I’m 5ft 2in and the size 10 short needs to be taken up a couple of inches. I’m very pleased with them. They are made from a very soft cotton. I like the high waist as it flattens my rounded tum. They are very firm and slimming. A good buy.’ Lily Magic Shaping High Waisted Jeans, £39.50, Marks & Spencer Magic Shaping Straight Leg Jeans, £39.50, Marks and Spencer Magic Shaping High Waisted Slim Flare Jeans, £39.50, Marks and Spencer Magic Shaping High Waisted Skinny Jeans, £39.50, Marks and Spencer Magic Shaping High Waisted Slim Flare Jeans, £39.50, Marks and Spencer ‘Love these jeans hesitant at first but once on really pleased I bought them size 10 short. Extremely comfortable even sitting down! More colours please…’ said another, while someone else agreed: ‘So, being an hourglass, I find it REALLY difficult to find jeans that allow for my thighs but fit my waist. I can honestly say these are the BEST jeans I have ever purchased in my entire life….. They hug everywhere in the right places; removing hip dips. I wish i could afford to buy 5 pairs of all colours.’ There’s still be plenty of sizes left in each style online – ideal for getting yourself ready for ‘normal’ life again.
