YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Celebrity Jennifer Garner says she can t wait to turn 50 By Sophie Hines - March 29, 2022 In the youth-obsessed world of Hollywood, it can be refreshing to hear someone talk joyfully of the privilege that is growing older. So full kudos to Jennifer Garner who – despite being best known for appearing in the film 13 Going On 30 – is in fact about to turn 50, and says she ‘can’t wait’ for the occasion. Getty ‘I turn 50… yeah, Easter Sunday,’ she told Extra on the red carpet at the premiere of her latest movie, The Adam Project. The actress said she will be celebrating the occasion with her loved ones: ‘My family has tickets to come out. My parents and my sisters, nieces, and nephews. I don’t know what we’ll do, but I can’t wait’ she said. Highlighting her positive attitude towards ageing, Jennifer has also used her Instagram to count down towards the landmark birthday, sharing 50 ‘somethings’ that make her happy on a highlight reel. These include buying a coffee for a stranger, fresh cinnamon rolls made for her kids and a snippet of the blossom on her nectarine tree. Heading home to West Virginia is another of the life joys Jennifer has highlighted. ‘Something I love: Green hills rising up to tell me I’m home,’ she captioned a clip taken from her plane seat’s window. Getty While Jennifer is facing a new decade with optimism, one thing she probably won’t be doing is heading under the surgeon’s knife any time soon. The actress has previously told Today ‘I want to look normal and I want to normalize looking normal. I always have felt really strongly about that’. Jennifer says her mother taught her not to be too concerned with looks. ‘She said as you get older, the temptation is to stare into the mirror and focus on what’s changing, and here’s the secret: Don’t look!’ she told Glamour last year. ‘Just care less, be grateful that you’re getting older, and use the time you have to be leaving the world a little bit better.’ RELATED ARTICLESMORE FROM AUTHOR 50 of the best celebrity Halloween costumes of all time Shirley Ballas ‘ Strictly gave me back my hope’ Davina McCall discusses how men can help women going through the menopause Popular in Celebrity TV chef Gino D Acampo on Sardinia Sophia Loren and scary salads May 25, 2017 The Evergreen Goddess Exercise guru Diana Moran on looking fit and July 10, 2017 More more Julianne Moore November 13, 2017 Author Jill Mansell on designer notebooks commissioning art and the family January 16, 2018 EMOTIONAL TIES Kelly Hoppen on vodka vintage finds and being a April 4, 2018 ‘ I have no regrets’ Millie Mackintosh on divorce debt and reuniting May 20, 2018 EMOTIONAL TIES TV presenter and tennis player Annabel Croft shares her July 1, 2018 Stella Parton ‘ Dolly and I have always been close’ August 12, 2018 Anna Friel on getting jeered in the street shared parenting with September 23, 2018 Queen of primetime Charlotte Riley on juggling rising stardom with pregnancy October 21, 2018 Popular CategoriesFood2704Life2496Fashion2240Beauty1738Celebrity1261Interiors684 Sign up for YOUMail Thanks for subscribing Please check your email to confirm (If you don't see the email, check the spam box) Fashion Beauty Celebrity Life Food Privacy & Cookies T&C Copyright 2022 - YOU Magazine.
