The second season of Bridgerton landed in March 2022, reigniting our love of all things Regency, including the picturesque filming locations used for the show. As it happens, loads of the places where Bridgerton is filmed are open to the public to visit. There are quite a few spots based in London and Bath, with some others in different parts of the UK, so you could totally take a day trip to live out your period drama dreams… Bridgerton filming locations The Bridgerton House Netflix Location: Chesterfield Walk, Greenwich, London, SE10 8QX This elegant house, aka Ranger’s House, is of course where Lady Bridgerton and her children – Anthony, Benedict, Colin, Daphne, Eloise, Francesca, Gregory and Hyacinth – live. The outside of the red brick Georgian mansion is decorated with pretty ivy and wisteria, and the pillars add a real touch of luxe. The entrance is actually a museum which you can visit, and it’s home to a world-class art collection. Queen Charlotte’ s Dining Room Getty Images Location: Brent Lea, Brentford, TW8 8JF You can walk around the gardens of Syon Park for £14 a person, but inside the house lies the Print Room, which was used for Queen Charlotte’s dining room and Simon’s dad’s office in season one. Queen Charlotte’ s Castle View this post on Instagram A post shared by Lancaster House (@lancaster_house_london) Location: Lancaster House, Stable Yard, St. James’s, London, SW1A 1BH Lancaster House is rarely open to the public, but you can still ogle at the exterior. The mansion used to be a royal residence, and the inside was used for Queen Charlotte’s castle in Bridgerton – quite fitting, don’t you think? Queen Charlotte’ s Palace View this post on Instagram A post shared by Historic Royal Palaces (@historicroyalpalaces) Location: Hampton Court Palace, Hampton Court Rd, East Molesey, KT8 9AU Hampton Court Palace was used for the exterior of Queen Charlotte’s palace. You may recognise it from the first episode of season one when Daphne arrives at the palace to meet the Queen. The Duke of Hastings’ House View this post on Instagram A post shared by Wilton House (@wiltonhousepmh) Location: Wilton House, Wilton, Wiltshire, Salisbury, SP2 0BJ In real life, Simon’s house is Wilton House in Salisbury, which is actually owned by the Earl and Countess of Pembroke. The building dates back to 1544 and is open for day visits. Plus, it’s also featured in period dramas like Emma, The Crown, and Pride and Prejudice. The Featherington House Getty Images Location: 16 Royal Crescent, Bath, BA1 2LS The Featherington residence was filmed in a number of locations, including No1 Royal Crescent, a museum in Bath and Hatfield House in Hertfordshire. Here, there’s a park, restaurant, Stable Yard shops and experiences like hot air ballooning and beekeeping. You can also take tours of the mansion, which made appearances in The Crown, Paddington, King Lear and the Jonas Brothers’ period-inspired music video for ‘Sucker’. (@castle_howard) Location: Castle Howard, Malton, York, YO60 7BY After they got married, Simon and Daphne lived in Clyvedon Castle, but the exterior scenes were actually filmed at Castle Howard in Yorkshire, and the interior shots took place at North Mymms Park, Wilton House and Badminton House in the Cotswolds. You can even get married at North Mymms! Wilton House was also used as Buckingham Palace in The Crown. The museum has a garden cafe, too. Painshill Park Netflix Location: Painshill, Cobham, KT11 1DP Painshill Park was used as one of the London park filming locations throughout Bridgerton. The 18th Century garden is the perfect backdrop for Instagram-worthy scenes. You can buy tickets to visit ahead of time for £10-£11 a person. Coaching Inn Dorney Court Location: Painshill, Cobham, KT11 1DP Simon and Daphne stay at this inn, which is actually Dorney Court, after their wedding. Dorney Court is only open to the public at specific times of the year, so it’s best to check before heading there. The Gentleman’ s Club Netflix Location: 104 Pall Mall, St. James’s, London, SW1Y 5EW Anthony Bridgerton meets up with the Duke on various occasions at their ‘club’, which is filmed at Lancaster House and The Reform Club. The Reform Club is a real-life member’s club on Pall Mall, whose previous members include Winston Churchill and EM Forster. It was founded in 1836 and is the starting point of Phileas Fogg’s adventure in Around the World in Eighty Days. The Opera House Netflix Location: 291 Mare Street, Hackney, London, E8 1JB Cast your mind back to season one when Siena performs a the opera house. Well, that’s actually the Hackney Empire theatre. The Ballroom View this post on Instagram A post shared by Leigh Court (@leigh_court) Location: Pill Road, Abbots Leigh, Bristol, BS8 3RE The ballroom in which Daphne dances with Prince Friederich in season one was filmed in Leigh Court, which is only available for private events and weddings. But, you can take a 360 tour of the grounds online. The Boxing Match Facebook/Langdon Down Centre Location: Langdon Down Centre, 2a Langdon Park, Teddington, TW11 9PS Remember the boxing match from episode 4 of season one? That was filmed at the Langdon Down Centre, which is a theatre, so you could book in to watch a performance. Modiste Dress Shop Abbey Green Location: Abbey Street, Bath The Modiste dress shop is where everyone buys their made-to-measure ballgowns in Bridgerton, the location of which is based in Bath, specifically at cafe Pickled Greens. Gunter’ s Tea Shop View this post on Instagram A post shared by 12 TRIM STREET (@12trimstreet) Location: 12 Trim Street, Bath, BA1 1HB That scene of Simon and the spoon (you know the one) is etched in our memories, but it wasn’t actually filmed in a tea shop. In fact, it was a hair salon located at 12 Trim Street.
