YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Celebrity The Apprentice’ s Karren Brady reveals the wardrobe trick she uses on TV By Georgia Green - March 24, 2022 Of all the many downfalls of the multiple lockdowns of 2020 and 2021, there was one very big benefit for people who transitioned to working from home. As in-person meetings transferred to Zoom video chats, we all very quickly realised that we really only needed to look presentable from the waist up – cue shirts and blouses teamed with joggers, workout leggings, pyjama bottoms and slippers. It was our little bit of extra comfort in an otherwise topsy-turvy world. PA/BBC And it seems The Apprentice‘s Karren Brady hasn’t quite been able to transition back to the full workwear wardrobe post-pandemic. The Baronness, vice-chairman of West Ham F.C. and aide to Lord Alan Sugar on the BBC show recently admitted to a sneaky wardrobe trick she uses to maximise comfort in the boardroom. ‘Sometimes I have tracksuit bottoms and trainers on, and a smart top,’ she confessed to The Sun. BBC But it doesn’t stop there. ‘I have actually had my slippers on in that boardroom and sometimes they show the camera and you can actually see my slippers in the reflection.’ We don’t blame you Karren, after two years of slippers and trackie bottoms, it has been hard to transition back to heels and pencil skirts. However, the show bosses weren’t quite as impressed with her new sartorial choices, especially the footwear. ‘I was told, “Don’t wear the slippers”,’ she admitted. BBC Karren’s confession comes just before the final of the current series, which airs tonight on BBC One at 9pm. The series has not been without its twists and turns. In the third week it was announced that one budding business person had to leave the competition due to health reasons. And, of course, the line of the series went to finalist Harpreet, announcing that ‘it looks like we want to kill children’ in a baby food fiasco that will go down in Apprentice history.
