Over the years, the supermarket has really capitalised on our love for Percy, extending the line to feature everything from cupcakes to soft drinks, as well as of course a wide range of alternative sweet options inspired by the original bags. So it makes sense that this pancake day, M&S is treating us to some Percy Pig-inspired goodies to celebrate the day: Percy Pig Pancakes. The pink buttermilk pancakes are already available in stores to pick up ahead of pancake day, which this year falls on Tuesday 16 February. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Newfoodsuk (@newfoodsuk) The new pancakes unsurprisingly sound pretty sweet, containing both Percy Pig dessert sauce (which you can buy separately to drizzle, too), and raspberry jelly pieces as an ode to the original sweets. They have a berry and grape flavour and come in a pack of four (for £1.60), making the perfect serving size for two people. Always one to be the first to share new trending food news, Instagram account @NewFoodsUK shared details of the pink pancakes, writing in their caption: ‘WOW! These are super delicious! Buttermilk pancakes made with Percy Pig dessert sauce, with apple & raspberry jelly pieces – these have a beautiful fruity taste! We love the jelly pieces & sauce in these pancakes – perfect heated up!’ M&S Percy Pig Pancakes, £1.60 for four, Marks & Spencer Presumably, they can be put on the grill or in the toaster to warm up, and are designed to be served with some Percy pink sauce over the top for those of us who have an extra sweet tooth. News of the pancakes follows that of a huge Percy Pig easter egg coming to stores to celebrate the chocolatey holiday. The £10 easter egg features a giant chocolate Percy waving at his many fans, complete with his signature cheeky smiling facial expression and some jazzy sprinkle trousers.
