The body positivity influencer regularly opens up about her history of disordered eating and promotes a healthy, realistic lifestyle and body type. Recently, the Instagram star revealed she was launching her very own swimwear line, which unsurprisingly would be super inclusive and flattering to all. The line finally launched today and there is plenty to be excited about. Alex Light From info she’s shared on her Instagram page, Light revealed that there were two things that were key in developing Light Ldn, which is a range of tops, bottoms, one-pieces and cover ups. First of course, was body inclusivity. Light designed this range to fit and suit everybody and wanted the sizing to be wholly realistic, unlike how much of the high street’s clothing fits. For this reason, she hired a fit specialist on her team while designing the pieces. Next up for the Alex Light swimwear was sustainability. Light was keen to source her materials and labour in an eco-friendly manner, even if that meant pushing up the price point ever so slightly. The pieces were made in Bali by a female team who were all paid fairly and the fabric in most pieces was made using 78 per cent recycled sea waste such as fishing nets. There are several tops and high waisted bottoms, along with lovely wraparound one-pieces and a chic, simple cover up for the beach. Everything comes in sizes 6-30, and while some styles have already sold out, Light has mentioned she is working hard on restocks where possible, so it’s worth keeping an eye out. Here’s the Alex Light swimwear pieces we think you should be buying: Alex Light Sophie Top, £46, Light Ldn This versatile style can be wrapped and tied at the front or back, depending on your preference. It also comes in a flattering olive hue. Alex Light Wren Bottoms, £39, Light Ldn The perfect-looking high waisted cut, these come with a thick band for added support and are available in the following colours: black, magenta, leopard and olive. Alex Light Norma Cover Up, £59, Light Ldn Light revealed that she spent a lot of time perfecting this design, wanting the ideal beach cover up that would suit everybody. It comes in sizes S-XL. Alex Light Ellie Top, £46, Light Ldn If you prefer sporty styles, this is the one for you. It features a cut-out V and a supportive band and comes in black, leopard and a vibrant Barbie pink. Alex Light Alex One Piece, £89, Light Ldn This ultra-flattering design has a wraparound fit with ties at the side. As well as this black and animal print colourway, it also comes in a magenta and hot pink hue.
