Their ethics combined with a stylish and affordable offering set them apart and has been a firm YOU magazine favourite ever since. It’s a consideration. It’s looking ahead to the future while looking after each other and our environment now. At Aligne, ‘sustainability’ is so much more than a trending buzzword – it’s a way of life, and a core building block in our brand ethos. When it comes to our collections, we like to think of it as fashion first, and then affordability (something that you will wear endlessly), but sustainability should always underpin the piece to create a naturally planet-friendly garment. At Aligne, kindness is key – in all that we do. What eco-conscious processes do you have in place? We only work with like-minded partners; those that share our mindset and welcome our brand ethos – from our sourcing and production to the eco-friendly finishes we feature in our collections. We believe our clothes should be made near, not far, so we’re passionate about nearshore production – our long-term goal is to ensure our clothes are crafted in locations close to home; collections that only rely on trucks and avoid high-mileage transportation like boats and planes. Receiving incredible feedback from the press and our amazing customers, and also creating a respected, much-loved sustainable brand that continues to go from strength to strength. We have been overwhelmed by the fantastic response Aligne has received, and we can only hope this continues with our upcoming collections. What is your best-selling piece? It has to be our Blair denim midi dress, crafted in 100% organic cotton and produced with 50% less water – the unpredictable, in-between temperatures have definitely inspired our customer to search for a versatile piece that can be worn throughout the seasons, and Blair does just that. It’s an easy, multitasking silhouette that can be layered up and styled down, whatever the forecast.
