YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Fashion Try before you hire at these pop-up fashion rental stores By You Magazine - July 1, 2021 Renting fashion is a great way to discover new brands, change up your style and save some money on pieces you might not end up wearing as often as you think. On top of that, it’s also a more sustainable way of shopping, so if you’re interested, we’ve put together the ultimate guide to renting your own personal runway online. However, committing to loaning a dress for a set number of days without trying on or seeing it in person can be a bit daunting. That’s why we’ve rounded up three fashion rental services with pop-up stores where you can browse their collections, try on pieces and, if you end up liking them, also rent an outfit and take it home the same day. Rotaro View this post on Instagram A post shared by The Fashion Rental Platform (@rotaro) You’ll be able to try on and rent items from some of the cool-girl brands such as Rotate, JW Anderson, House of Sunny and Stand Studio. Whether you take home an outfit the same day, reserve it for a future date, or browse Rotaro’s full catalogue on one of the smart screens and have your choice delivered to your doorstep, rentals start from £15 for a 4-day loan period up to £80 for a 12-day period, with the option to extend. The Rotaro pop-up is open until August 20th (45 Carnaby Street, W1F 9PP). By Rotation View this post on Instagram A post shared by The Social Fashion Rental App (@byrotationofficial) Coinciding with the introduction of furniture and homeware onto the rental platform, By Rotation just opened a 3,300 square feet apartment-style pop-up in Westfield London. It’s the first time ever the rental app, which counts Laura Whitmore, Stacey Dooley and Maya Jama among its 70,000 UK users, is giving its customers a chance to view their extensive collection of clothing items and accessories in person. From as little as £3 a day, you can temporarily get your hands on some of the app’s most sought-after pieces by brands such as The Vampire’s Wife, Rixo and Ganni. Additionally, you’ll also be able to explore – and if you’re interested, rent – furniture and homeware items from the London-based Studio Arva. The By Rotation pop-up at Westfield London is open until July 14th (Ariel Way, W12 7GF). Hurr View this post on Instagram A post shared by Your Fashion Rental Platform (@hurr) Tucked away in a pastel pink corner on the third floor of Selfridges, you’ll find the Hurr pop-up. The shop is part of an ongoing collaboration between the rental platform and the department store, which teamed up to launch Selfridges Rental earlier this year. The latter allows customers to rent, instead of buy, current-season stock on the Selfridges website using Hurr’s technology. Back to the pop-up, which displays a curated range of pieces from cult brands such as RIXO, Ganni, Mara Hoffman and Gucci. You can rent each item for 4, 8, 10 or 20 days, with prices starting from just £20. The longer you rent for, the larger the discounts, so it might be worth keeping that in mind when you’re picking out your favourite pieces. Visit the Hurr pop-up at Selfridges (400 Oxford Street, W1A 1AB).
