You see poor AJ, who is dancing against John Whaite and Rose Ayling-Ellis in the grande finale of Strictly this weekend, has sustained a foot injury and is on crutches right now. Eek. Image: BBC The TV presenter confirmed to the BBC on Wednesday she had been unable to train this week due to ligament damage. However, she and her partner Kai Widdrington are still hopeful about taking part in this Saturday’s show, where each contestant is expected to perform three dances. ‘Entering the final week, I literally am on crutches at the worst possible time,’ she told Radio 1’s Newsbeat ‘But I’m trying to power through.’ She added: ‘Hey, listen, even if Kai has to just carry me around that dancefloor, and I’ll do some armography, we’ll make it work.’ Image: BBC We admire AJ for her positive attitude, although it must be incredibly annoying not being able to train, particularly as John Whaite told us earlier this week that he and partner Johannes are putting in ten hours a day. Following the semi-final last weekend, Odudu thanked fans for their messages and votes, saying she felt like ‘the luckiest girl in the world’. She tweeted: ‘Still can’t believe we’re Strictly FINALISTS! I’m so happy I could burst. Thank you for all your votes and kind messages and thank you Kai for believing in me.’ We wish her massive luck in the final on Saturday – if anyone can style out a foot injury, we reckon it’s AJ!
