While sleek winter coats still have their place, all of fashion’s coolest customers are indulging in duvet days aplenty by wrapping themselves up in practical puffers to keep out the winter chill. While a typical high street take on the trend can set you back upwards of £100, you can always rely on Primark when it comes to bringing more affordable options to the table. Case in point: the selection of perfect puffers on the rails in store right now, which all come in between £30 and £35. The coats have won over many of Instagram’s biggest style accounts, and it’s not just the flattering fit and great price point that the influencers are impressed by. The oversized Primark puffer coats are part of the brand’s Primark Cares initiative, and are made using at least 35 per cent recycled polyester. Combined with the rest of the pieces across all departments in the latest autumn drop, the coats are part of a range than doubles the store’s current offering of items made from recycled materials to a somewhat staggering 40 million. ‘The Primark Cares initiative is a clear and committed statement to our customers, employees, partners and suppliers that we take our responsibility as a large retailer seriously,’ Primark says. ‘It’s a reminder that we’re always investing in ways to support the people who make our clothes and to protect the environment.
