YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Food Aldi is on the hunt for an official beer taster By Georgia Green - August 2, 2022 Is a pint of beer your chosen tipple of choice? Do you think of yourself as something of a connoisseur of the hoppy beverage? If so, Aldi has the job for you. Getty Images The supermarket has launched a search for an official beer taster who will be tasked with the arduous job of tasting and reviewing several beers, lagers and ciders from the new range, which launches on 15 September. The successful applicant will be sent a selection of beers and more to test and review, which in turn will help to guide and inform the Aldi bosses with their decision-making when they create the next range. Getty Images Obviously, requirement number one for the job of Aldi beer taster is to have a passion for beer, as they will need to give honest and in-depth feedback on a total of ten different drinks, from craft ales to IPAS. Think you’re up for the job? To be in with a chance of landing the dream role, all budding beer testers must send an email (to [email protected]) explaining why they think they should be the official Aldi beer taster. The email should also include what your favourite beer is and why, and you must include you full name, proof of age (copy of passport or driving license) and social media handles (if applicable). Getty Images Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi UK, said: ‘We’re looking for someone with passion and excitement when it comes to craft ale, but who can honestly review our range and provide suggestions as to how we might improve it for next year. For beer lovers, this is the ultimate opportunity. Best of luck to all applicants.’ Entries are open until 29 August and the winner will be selected by 2 September. More information and the T&Cs can be found online here. Good luck!
