As for where to go for your denim this season, Reserved has launched a spring collection called Sensual Denim that we can’t wait to get our hands on. First up, there are jeans: voluminous in cut while still flattering the waist, and available in a range of washes. Channel the trend for all things 90s by teaming your Reserved jeans with a classic white shirt or black cardigan – it’s all about simple pieces and chic silhouettes. While vintage denim can often be utilitarian (and let’s be honest, pretty uncomfortable to wear), Reserved have focused on creating fabric that is light and soft, while still retaining that authentic denim feel. This extends beyond jeans to incorporate other classic pieces: oversized jackets, cute dresses, jumpsuits, shorts and skirts. Keep it minimalist by pairing these pieces with basic tees, gold jewellery and trainers, or go for the high/low mix – a silky cami dress with a denim jacket, for example, or a blazer with a denim skirt. Beyond a palette of cool blues, Reserved has also incorporated one of the season’s key colours, butter yellow, into the collection. If you’re looking for an alternative way to wear this season’s coloured suits, then the yellow co-ord below represents an eye-catching option. Versatility is at the heart of the Sensual Denim collection; it’s designed to allow for matching tops and bottoms in the same shade, creating an impactful look. At the same time, each piece can be styled in a myriad of ways, which – in a time where we’re all looking for wardrobe items that work harder – can never be a bad thing.
