YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Life John Lewis has already launched it’ s online Christmas shop to meet a huge increase in demand By You Magazine - August 26, 2020 Don’t worry, you didn’t blink and miss September – it is still only August, but that hasn’t stopped John Lewis from launching its online Christmas shop already. John Lewis & Partners Despite there still being exactly four whole months to go until the big day, John Lewis has reported a huge increase in customers searching for ‘Christmas’ on the brand’s website – a whopping 370 per cent increase on this time last year, in fact. It’s understandable – while August is normally a time for savouring the last drops of summer, with everything that’s happened so far this year it’s not surprising we’re looking forward to a bit of jolly festivities (and seeing the back of 2020). View this post on Instagram A post shared by John Lewis PR Team (@johnlewispr) It appears it’s not just baubles and wreaths that we’re looking to ‘add to basket’ though – searches for ‘Christmas’ on waitrose.com were up 42 per cent over July and August, too. The foodie arm of the John Lewis & Partners brand reports that searches of Christmas puddings are up 75 per cent on last year, mince pies are up over 110 per cent and mincemeat up a staggering 400 per cent! Well, we’ve seen the sneak preview of the Waitrose Christmas food offering for 2020, so it’s hardly surprising given how delicious it all looks. John Lewis & Partners If you’re looking to get your Crimbo on already, the John Lewis online Christmas shop will certainly give you your fill. They’ve gone for no less than 7 art-inspired themed lines this year – Impressionism, Bloomsbury, Art of Japan, Renaissance, Pop Art, Post-Impressionism and Art Nouveau – each as creative and desirable as the last. From novelty tree decorations (think lions, bananas and toucans) to vintage-inspired figurines and the more traditional baubles in every colour of the rainbow (from minimalist to the exquisitely decorated), everyone’s Christmas personality is accounted for here. John Lewis & Partners Alongside the decorations, there’s also plenty of gifts and food hampers to choose from too, using the handy designated pages to guide you through your best options. Now excuse us while we splurge our pay check on novelty tree decs.
