YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Food This city has been voted the ‘ roast capital’ of the UK By You Magazine - October 6, 2021 With the autumn season well and truly here, it’s about time Sundays were spent chomping down on a roast dinner accompanied by plenty of red wine and friendly chatter. And while many towns and cities around the country will claim they do it best, one study has discovered that one city in particular is actually the ‘roast capital’ of the UK. Getty Images Last Minute Cottages analysed data from Google and Tripadvisor reviews to calculate their findings, which placed Canterbury in the top spot. By looking at which areas featured the most restaurants serving roast dinners with an overall star rating of 4.5 or above, the city in southeast England came out at number one. Getty Images However, Canterbury is not the only roast hotspot to get excited about in the country, as the brand also found that other places including Newquay and Norwich were also extremely popular. In fact, they managed to put together a list of 25 places that ranked highly, with Brighton, Nottingham and Belfast all featuring in the UK top ten. This full list is as follows… Top 25 roast dinner hotspots in the UK (by the number of 4.5 star and above rated roasts per 100,000 people) 1. Canterbury – 138 2. Newquay – 113 3. Norwich – 37.72 4.
