Older women feel this pressure particularly acutely, as they are routinely told – directly and indirectly – that they must look younger, slimmer, smoother. Ugh. One thing that seldom happens though is actors and actresses speaking openly about what plastic surgery they’ve had done, or sharing their thoughts on the topic. Courteney Cox. Image: Getty Images However, in a recent interview with The Sunday Times, actress Courteney Cox broke the unspoken rule when she admitted that she regrets some of the cosmetic procedures, or rather the amount of cosmetic procedures, that she’s had done on her face. ‘There was a time when you go, ‘Oh, I’m changing. I’m looking older. And I tried to chase that youthfulness for years,’ the Friends star admitted. Courteney Cox. Image: Getty Images But, reflecting on the moment she realised she’d maybe gone too far, Courteney said, ‘I didn’t realise that, oh shit, I’m actually looking really strange with injections and doing stuff to my face that I would never do now.’ When she became aware that friends were talking about her appearance, Courteney realised she’d gone too far, thinking ‘I’ve got to stop,’ and that it was, ‘just crazy.’ Courteney Cox. Image: Getty Images Approaching her 60th birthday, Courteney said: ‘Oh God, it’s so hard to even hear or say. I can’t believe it.’ ‘There’s nothing wrong with being 60’ she added ‘I just can’t believe it. Time goes so fast.
