The British high street stalwart has announced that its M&S Food department is launching free online gardening classes to help keep the nation busy and brighten up our outdoor spaces, as we all continue to self-isolate during the coronavirus outbreak. Getty Images The helpful web series, which launched on Thursday 2 April, has been created in collaboration with Blue Peter gardening presenter Lee Connelly, better known on Instagram as the Skinny Jean Gardener, and will cover everything from caring for your existing plants to growing fruit and veg. Each week, the classes will cover a different topic, such as repotting and growing from seed, or nature and wildlife, and is designed for all ages and ability levels to be able to get involved. Essentially no matter how big or small your garden might be, there’ll be something new for you. And for those stocking up on their essentials in your local M&S store, you’ll find that its Little Garden seedlings kits – of which there is 12 different varieties to collect – are currently free with any M&S Food purchase; the perfect first project to start your growing journey.
