Of course you do. And now you actually can. George and Amal Clooney are running a once-in-a-lifetime competition where a lucky couple could win the chance to join them for a dinner in luxurious Lake Como. No, really! The 58-year-old actor announced the news on social media, explaining that he and Amal are fundraising for their charity, The Clooney Foundation, which campaigns for human rights. Rex Features Partnering up with Omaze to launch the competition, Clooney released a short video of himself outlining the prize while adorably reiterating the fact that fans should be much more interested in meeting his wife than they are about him. ‘George and Amal will welcome you and a guest to their Lake Como home in Italy for lunch, laughs and the chance to get to know this amazing couple on a personal level,’ read the competition advert. ‘You’ll bond with George and Amal over a delicious meal, take in the spectacular views of the lake and share a celebratory toast all together. The winner will then be announced on or around 31 July. Sounds like a sweet deal doesn’t it? And you’ll be doing a good deed while at it. The competition comes days after George opened up about the serious danger his wife’s job (Amal is a human rights lawyer) has put on their family. Speaking on The Hollywood Reporter‘s Awards Chatter podcast, he said: ‘Everything changes when you have two kids on how you have to protect them. My wife is taking the first case against Isis to court, so we have plenty of issues — real, proper security issues — that we have to deal with on a fairly daily basis.
