YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Celebrity Grace Woodward is hosting an online art raffle in support of Women’ s Aid By You Magazine - December 7, 2021 Fashion stylist and TV presenter turned creative and activist Grace Woodward is hosting a very special online art raffle in support of Women’s Aid. Simon Emmett Called the Emo Raffle for Women’s Aid, Grace has single-handedly organised an incredible line-up of prizes to be won, with 100 per cent of the proceeds going to Women’s Aid. Women’s Aid is the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children – having suffered abuse in the past, this is a charity close to Grace’s heart. There are thousands of pounds worth of prizes across art, design, photography and ‘other fine things’, including hotel stays and champagne dinners. Artists who have donated works include Polly Borland, Peter Jones, Helen Beard, Brenda Sakoui, Jonathan Schofield RA, Lachlan Goudie, Polly Penrose, Mark Vessey, Sam Pooley Stride, Hedley Roberts, Robert Clarke and many more (see a selection here). ‘Song of Self’ by Helen Beard Grace herself has donated a photo from her own Body of Work series, a photographic project she embarked on to reclaim her body (Grace’s open letter about her motivation for the project was published in YOU Magazine in February 2019). ‘Body of Work’ by Chris Floyd The raffle will be drawn on Friday 10 December at 12pm. Tickets for the Emo Raffle for Women’s Aid by Grace Woodward are £20 each and you can buy as many as you want here. In line with the raffle, Grace has also designed some special Christmas ‘Emotee’ pieces, her sustainable T-shirt campaign produced in collaboration with Make Thread to help raise awareness of violence against women. Simon Emmett Actor Nicholas Pinnock is an ambassador for the brand and appears in the campaign imagery shot by Simon Emmett, alongside actress and DJ Laura Pradeleska, model Tia Rolph, Grace’s son Larkin (‘who I’m proudly raising as a feminist’), her 94-year-old grandmother Anne and Meg Salmon, a recent victim of drink spiking/drugging in Chelmsford. Simon Emmett Red Emo Tee, £32, Make Thread There’s an ‘Emotee’ (T-shirt) for £32 and an ‘Emoodie’ (hoodie) for £60, with 30 per cent (Grace’s entire cut) going to Women’s Aid. Make Thread Red Emo Hoodie, £60, Make Thread ‘My aim with #emotee is to make something very dark into something light enough that we can all bare the burden for the victims and survivors,’ Grace wrote on Instagram. ‘And for those that didn’t survive, if @womens_aid was able to help them perhaps things wouldn’t have turned as as the did. Wear the t-shirt, buy it, gift it, have the difficult conversation.’ RELATED ARTICLESMORE FROM AUTHOR 50 of the best celebrity Halloween costumes of all time Shirley Ballas ‘ Strictly gave me back my hope’ Davina McCall discusses how men can help women going through the menopause Popular in Celebrity TV chef Gino D Acampo on Sardinia Sophia Loren and scary salads May 25, 2017 The Evergreen Goddess Exercise guru Diana Moran on looking fit and July 10, 2017 More more Julianne Moore November 13, 2017 Author Jill Mansell on designer notebooks commissioning art and the family January 16, 2018 EMOTIONAL TIES Kelly Hoppen on vodka vintage finds and being a April 4, 2018 ‘ I have no regrets’ Millie Mackintosh on divorce debt and reuniting May 20, 2018 EMOTIONAL TIES TV presenter and tennis player Annabel Croft shares her July 1, 2018 Stella Parton ‘ Dolly and I have always been close’ August 12, 2018 Anna Friel on getting jeered in the street shared parenting with September 23, 2018 Queen of primetime Charlotte Riley on juggling rising stardom with pregnancy October 21, 2018 Popular CategoriesFood2704Life2496Fashion2240Beauty1738Celebrity1261Interiors684 Sign up for YOUMail Thanks for subscribing Please check your email to confirm (If you don't see the email, check the spam box) Fashion Beauty Celebrity Life Food Privacy & Cookies T&C Copyright 2022 - YOU Magazine.
