YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Food John Lewis is selling off huge single flavour bags of Quality Street for £5 By You Magazine - January 15, 2020 We all have our favourites when it comes to Quality Street – and according to customers on Facebook, John Lewis & Partners just made it a whole lot easier to get your hands on over a kilo (yes, you did read that correctly) of yours. Getty Images The popular Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group started buzzing with excitement when users revealed that their local branches of John Lewis were selling huge plastic bags of single flavours of the chocolates for just £5. Lisa Truett was the first to alert the 1.1 million members to the brilliant deal, writing ‘Anyone love Quality Street? John Lewis are selling 1.2kg bags of single flavour for £5 in store,’ noting that the use-by date is 30 April. We don’t know about you, but we reckon we could definitely polish that quantity off before then. Facebook/Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Another bargain hunter, Jodie Buckley, added that she’d spotted 6kg boxes in store in Glasgow, and even this massive amount is priced at just £10. Facebook/Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK However, in the comments on the posts, others who have tried to track them down haven’t been so lucky, with some saying they’ve left empty-handed. So it may be worth calling ahead to your nearest shop to check if they have stock before you head down to bulk buy your Toffee Pennies or Strawberry Cremes. John Lewis hasn’t yet commented on the promotion, but it’s possible that the offer is an after-effect of its popular Quality Street pick and mix counters, where you could pay to customise a tin and fill it with your own bespoke selection. John Lewis & Partners It’s a Christmas-only affair, so as these sweets expire before December 2020, it could be that they’re selling off the leftovers to make space for a fresh batch for the next festive season. This would mean only larger stores that had these sections will have the single flavour bags available: these were Bluewater, Cambridge, Cardiff, Cribbs Causeway, Edinburgh, Glasgow, High Wycombe, Kingston, Liverpool, Milton Keynes, Newcastle, Nottingham, Oxford, Oxford Street, Peter Jones Southampton, and Trafford.
