YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Celebrity Mary Berry is starring in a new cooking show By Sophie Hines - June 22, 2022 Mary Berry may have had the opportunity to ‘actually wind down’ during lockdown, but it seems that life is ramping back up again for the 87 year old, who is set to be back on our screens this autumn with a new BBC Two show. Previous television shows such as The Great British Bake Off and Best Home Cook have firmly cemented Mary’s national treasure status, and we’ve no doubt this latest series will be incredibly popular too. Getty Mary Berry: Cook and Share is all about (you guessed it) making food to share, from romantic dinners for two to batch cooking recipes that can be served up at big gatherings. The TV cook will travel across the UK to help families taking part in various celebrations, which is just the kind of warm-hearted television we need after a couple of years being forced apart from loved ones. There will even be some summer festivals involved, although we imagine it will be of the genteel variety rather than Mary joining the mosh pit at Reading and Leeds. In a statement, Mary said: ‘Sharing recipes is always an utter joy for me and this series is the ultimate guide, whether you are cooking for a crowd or just for two. ‘I’m loving visiting some spectacular parts of the country at extraordinary events, gatherings and beautiful locations for this new series. ‘I have always believed there is no better way to spend time with family and friends than over fresh home-cooked food – and now more than ever that feels so important.’ The show is expected to be shown on BBC Two around September this year.
