It’s time to grab your tinnies, hampers and blankets, and enjoy everything summer has to offer. Maybe minus the hay fever. But where to go? Research conducted by HelloFresh found between 30 May and 6 June 2022, online searches for ‘picnic set for 2’ rose 100 per cent and ‘4 person picnic basket’ rose 50 per cent. So the meal-kit delivery company has created a list of the most popular picnic spots in the UK by analysing 1,020 attractions listed on Tripadvisor as ‘Things to do’ in the UK. There, they found the 15 places that most frequently had ‘picnic’ mentioned in reviews. Many of us head to the park for a picnic with our loved ones, so it’s no surprise to see one of the capital’s most popular parks – Hyde Park – has taken the top spot. It’s followed by perhaps a more lowkey spot in Cardiff – St Fagans National Museum of History. So now that the weather is finally looking up again, where will you be heading?
