The Victoria & Albert Museum in London is soon to play host to a highly anticipated exhibition, Alice: Curiouser And Curiouser, which delves into the world of Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Getty Images With the exhibition opening this weekend, and as a royal patron on the V&A, the Duchess of Cambridge took the chance to visit the exhibition ahead of its opening to the public. For the engagement, Kate wore a red and black houndstooth check midi dress by one of her favourite designers, Alessandra Rich, which she accessorised with coordinating minimal black accessories. However, forever a master of mixing high and low fashion, Kate teamed her £1,565 dress with a much more affordable high street buy. She’s a big fan of her £15 chunky gold hoops from Orelia, which she’s been spotted in on more than one occasion. Not just jewellery, though, Kate regularly steps out in outfits that include clothing, jewellery and accessories from British high street brands such as M&S, Boden, Accessorize and others. It’s not the first time the royal has worn & Other Stories, either – in 2019 she wore a floral printed midi dress from the brand, which obviously sold out almost instantly thanks to that well-documented ‘Kate effect’. Naturally, the same thing may well happen to the gold hoop earrings also, so we’d suggest buying them soon if you fancy some Kate-approved style for yourself.
