YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Food Aldi is recruiting people to taste test free bottles of wine By You Magazine - February 14, 2022 Vino-lovers, listen up: Aldi‘s ever-popular wine club is back and looking to recruit new members to taste test a range of wines to help curate the supermarket’s autumn wine range for 2022. Getty Images Know your Malbec from your Merlot? Your Sauvignon from your Shiraz? If you consider yourself a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to wine, this is the club for you. Every three months Aldi selects a new panel of burgeoning wine experts from the public to give their thoughts on the latest wines to join Aldi’s impressive range. Getty Images The exclusive club only takes on thirty recruits at a time, making membership highly sought-after. And for good reason – members of the Aldi Wine Club get to taste test three bottles from the supermarket’s award-winning range of wines over a six week period. Oh, and did we mention it’s all totally free? All that Aldi asks for in return is for the budding wine connoisseurs to share with them their honest reviews of the wines they try. Even better, to help the burgeoning wine buffs thoroughly review their free vino, members receive guidance on a selection of tasting notes and expert tips on how to assess the aroma, flavours and body of the wine. And for the first time ever, Aldi is inviting the selected wine enthusiasts to Aldi HQ for an in-person tasting session. Want in on this action? Of course you do! To apply to be part of the next batch of Aldi Wine Club members, all you need to do is send an email to [email protected] with your name, proof of age, your social media handles and number of followers for each account, plus 150 words explaining why you think you should be selected as Aldi’s next official wine taster. Getty Images You’ve got until 15 March to get your entry in, so get thinking of how you’ll convince the judging panel that you’re worthy of this sought-after honour. Before applying, make sure you’re free on 7 April to take part in the tasting session at Aldi HQ.
